Terms and Conditions
Some of these terms and conditions set below are to draw your attention to the fact that our obligations to you are limited. Once the trip begins, we will do everything possible to ensure your enjoyment and we look forward to a successful partnership together.
Due to limited participant size, logistics and planning purchased spots for all workshops are non-refundable. space is limited on all trips and reservations are accepted in order of receipt of your registration which acknowledges that you have read these terms, and our notification to you of your enrollment.
You are responsible for assuming the responsibility for your physical abilities or limitations and interests. you are also responsible for being in sufficiently good health to undertake the trip; for obtaining the appropriate medical and travel insurance; for studying all the pre-departure information provided to you, and for acting in a manner considerate of fellow travelers and the countries visited.
Travel Risks:
Any form of travel contains inherent risks and medical facilities and services may not be easily accessible and may not be sophisticated. there are also other risks associated with the trip, such as theft or loss of or damage to property. some of the services provided in connection with the trip, including lodging, transportation, food service and local tours and activities, are obtained from independent suppliers over whom we have no control. these services provided by independent suppliers or any unrelated third parties are subject to the laws of the place where the services are provided. the liability of the independent suppliers may be limited by their tariffs, conditions of carriage, tickets and vouchers, and international conventions and agreements.
Travelers further agree that they will indemnify and hold us harmless in respect of any claims arising in connection with the trip made by third parties that arise from the misconduct of the travelers, the traveler’s family members, dependents or heirs, third parties, which the traveler, their estate, their family members, dependents or heirs have sued.
We reserve the right to decline accepting or retaining any traveler whose health or actions in our sole judgment impedes the operation of a trip or the welfare or enjoyment of fellow travelers.
Passport and Visas:
You are responsible for having your passport up to date. most countries require that your passport be valid for at least six months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is also recommended that you have a minimum of three blank pages. please note that an enhanced driver’s license is not a substitution for a passport.
If there are any visas or entry documents required for your trip, you are responsible for meeting all the health and other requirements necessary for those documents. we are not responsible for providing you with specific visa and passport information or documentation or any fees associated with these documents.
Please note that it can take up to three months or more to obtain a new passport and/or visa.
Health and Medical:
If you have specific allergies (i.e. peanuts, wheat, gluten, dairy, etc.), it will be harder, but not impossible, for you to find food that suits your needs. many dishes are prepared with dairy and yogurt is often used to temper the spicier dishes. note: for special dietary needs or preferences, please be proactive in planning any supplementation you may want/need/desire to the meals provided.
Consult a doctor, nurse or health care provider, or visit a travel health clinic preferably six weeks before you travel to see if they recommend any shots or vaccines. if you have any pending health concerns you should contact your health care provider prior to registration of this trip. we require proof of medical insurance and policy number.
Payments:
All deposits and balance payments are non refundable as they are received. We do keep a waitlist and are happy to put you in touch with someone that may be able to take your place.
Cancellation Policy:
All individual cancellations must be made in writing and are effective upon receipt. If you have paid your deposit and are unable to attend, there will be no refund.
If there is a waiting list of participants, we will put you in contact with the first person on the list to whom you can offer your class spot. If the person on the list accepts, then that person will need to pay you for your spot and once that transaction is complete and both parties are satisfied, we will transfer your spot to the other person.
There are no exceptions to this policy. Due to the many suppliers used to create these retreats and the deposits made that are non refundable to us.
Due to the nature of the trip we advise you to not book your flights until you have received an email telling you that we have met our minimum numbers to run the trip. participant expenses incurred in preparation for the trip (e.g., non-refundable purchased airline tickets) are not our responsibility. It is strongly recommended that participants obtain medical/trip cancellation travel insurance.
Limitation of liability:
We contract with a network of companies, local agencies, and individuals to assist in the running of these tours as agents for these third parties. Our partners are carefully vetted, but we cannot be held responsible for the acts and omissions of these third parties. To the fullest extent permitted by law: any liability for any loss, death, injury or damage which you may suffer (directly or indirectly) in connection with or arising out of your participation in a workshop event, or any breach of the booking condition, is excluded; you release us and our officers, employees, agents and representatives from any liability and expressly waive any claims you may have against us arising out of or in connection with your participation in a tour, and any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied by law into these booking conditions (implied warranty), is excluded.
To the extent an implied warranty cannot be excluded, our liability in respect of the implied warranty is limited to (in our absolute discretion): (i) the provision of a similar tour of equivalent value; in connection with your booking. any claim by you is excluded to the extent that it is for indirect or consequential loss of profits or economic loss, however it arises, or for indirect, special punitive or exemplary damages.
If we cancel a trip:
We reserve the right to alter the itinerary or accommodations as conditions warrant. If a trip itinerary must be changed due to weather, transportation delays, government intervention, sickness or other contingency for which we cannot make provision, the cost of delays or changes is not included.
We reserves the right to cancel an itinerary before departure for any reason including too few participants or logistical problems such as strikes, military actions, acts of nature or any other circumstances which may make operation of the trip inadvisable.
If we cancel a tour you have reserved, the entire amount you will be refunded to participants enrolled at the time of our cancellation. Once this occurs, we have no other obligations to tour members on cancelled trips including any additional costs or fees to the issuance and/or cancellation of airline tickets or other travel arrangements.
Alternatively, you may choose to transfer to another trip within 12 months of cancelled trip.
In case of emergency:
In the event of illness or accident, you understand that we will make every effort to contact the person listed under emergency contact, but you give your permission for emergency medical treatment as required if such notification is impossible or impractical under the circumstances. you understand that we will make every effort to minimize the risks inherent, but that we cannot guarantee against circumstances over which it has little or no control. you agree that upon advancement of deposit and completed registration form that you will be bound to the terms and conditions recited above.
You understand that if you are unable to complete the tour for any reason, we are not obliged to make any refunds for any unused services, and that trip cancellation insurance is strongly advised.
Agreement:
You must sign and submit this waiver acknowledging that you have read and agreed to the conditions set forth in this waiver as part of your registration and you will not be considered registered until this is completed. you can sign electronically.
Photography:
The participant hereby provides his/her express consent and authorization to the operator utilizing, at its sole discretion, for its advertising, promotion and marketing purposes, any photographs taken of the participant during his/her participation in the activities.
We reserve the right to amend these policies at our discretion. If an amendment occurs between your booking, we will notify you of changes via email.
