A Creative Ritualized Practice . . .

Today’s Prompt. . .

Julie Cameron calls them morning pages and I don’t believe that morning is necessary but that it’s the consistency that is key, sitting with yourself, pen to paper is where the magic happens. Part of a my own personal ritual for as long as I can recall.

I invite you to embark on this journey with me as you begin to get ready to join Susan and myself on this creative adventure in Morocco this fall. For some of you it has been a long while since you first said yes to this experience of gathering as a group to wander and experience Morocco together, and others have just signed up and I am grateful for you all.

Whether we are on an external journey or not, the internal journey is our constant sidekick to a life well lived. Using a journal as a container to hold our thoughts, images, inspirations or simply a place to land, to brain dump if you will is invaluable. A private place to go daily, just for you, is vital to connect, create and grow yourself or for many of us our artistic lives as well.

If this is new to you I ask you to grab some paper, and begin to document the thoughts, feeling, expectations that you are having as you begin to dream about this fantastic country and all the magic that awaits those of you that decided to show up for this.

We will be gifting you a handmade journal upon your arrival here to continue this ritual together as we journey from the souks of Marrakech to the sand dunes of the Sahara. I will lead you in a few creative practices alongside Susan as we create both amazing memories while we forage and collect pieces for you create and take home with you as a reminder of this beautiful country and the connections we are sure to make, both together and alone.

I look forward to this journey’s with all you beautiful creative humans as I stay mindful of staying in the moment and connecting daily to the page.
