 RETREAT FAQ’S

  • There is a link to the REGISTRATION FORM on each adventure. Fill out the Registration, after reading the terms and pay your registration..

  • As our guests arrive from all over the world to begin our tours and it is not possible to include international airfare in our prices.

  • It does not include international airfare, beverages, alcohol, incidental expenses, travel insurance, visa fees and any necessary fees into and out of the country required by local governments. Please note, we require all travelers to have travel medical insurance before departure and highly recommend trip cancellation insurance. You are responsible for acquiring your travel insurance. There are many vendors to choose from, such as World Nomads.

  • We believe it is important to keep groups sizes intimate so everyone can get to know each other. Our group size is typically 10 - 14 guests.

  • During our travel experiences you will have a little bit of flexibility to explore on your own but as we are travelling I highly encourage you to stay on a little longer. We are most happy to curate trips and excursions on your behalf, just send an email and we will make your bucket list dreams come true.

  • Our trips typically have a privateroom option (limited supply) and required a single supplement fee. This means that the accommodation is based on a twin share basis, and if you are travelling on your own, you will be sharing a room with another traveller of the same sex. We encourage participants to share bedrooms as it helps create a supportive community spirit among the group.

That said, we recognize that some guests prefer to have space to themselves. Many of retreats have a few optional single room supplements available and these details can be found on the individual trip page. If you select the additional single supplement fee, you will have a single room for the duration of your tour.

  • This is always a tough question for us as we understand in some cases participants are traveling these places as part of their vacation. It depends - if the accommodation is based on double occupancy or we are staying at a house where space is limited it would be best to contact us to discuss. Remember - this is your time and sometimes the workshop works best when you venture on your own. We are hapay to discuss this with you - we can also help you meet up with your spouse or a travel partner afterwards to create a separate adventure together. We are happy to help make this happen.

  • When a trip fills, we start a wait list. There is no charge to be on the waiting list. If space becomes available, we contact the first person on the list. That person then has 24 hours to let us know before we move on to the next person. If a space becomes available within 30 days of the start of a workshop, the registrar will contact all persons on the wait list by email and the space will be given to whomever contacts us first.

  • Our full cancellation policy is available. In addition you can find Travel Booking Terms + Conditions listed. All guests must read and agree to our Booking + Cancellation terms in order to join an Art of Travel experience.

  • We strive to find the freshest food, take you to the best local places and explore local cuisine with special meals. On most tours we try our best to cater to dietary concerns and allergies as long as we have prior knowledge, please contact us to let us know. Unfortunately there are a few locations where we cannot manage specific dietary concerns or allergies - If you have specific concerns please contact us to discuss prior to your registration.

  • This is a group retreat with a carefully planned itinerary. We try to build in some “down time” and free days or afternoons for people to explore interests on their own, but the majority of your time will be planned for shared activities. description

  • We encourage you to explore more of Indi while you are here and can assist with other travel and tour arrangements either before or after the scheduled retreat.

  • India is generally very safe for women and tourists in general. Practice the same precautions you would in any tourist area. Walk with a friend if possible, wear a closed cross-body handbag, be aware of your surroundings, don’t wave your phone around, and ignore solicitations from “false guides”.

  • We would love to have you! Sign up with your email, and you will receive more information as to how to proceed with hosting your retreat. We would love to have your group join us and will work with alongside you to ensure it is the best experience for you and your guests!
